Additional Instructional Programs
G.A.T.E
The Old Adobe Union School District strives to develop the full potential of all students. We recognize that some students’ learning needs go beyond the walls of the general education classroom. With that in mind, we offer Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) services.
6th Grade Outdoor Education
Our District Sixth Grade Outdoor Education Program is a cherished tradition and a point of pride in our district. Each year, all sixth graders from our five schools come together for a week-long immersive outdoor experience before they move on to seventh grade. This program offers hands-on learning in a natural setting, fosters teamwork, and builds lasting memories. It’s a meaningful rite of passage that helps students connect with nature, each other, and themselves as they prepare for the next step in their educational journey.
Our school district utilizes a range of state and local assessments to ensure accountability and support student success. State-mandated assessments provide a standardized measure of student achievement and growth, while local assessments help track progress aligned with district goals. Together, these tools guide instructional decisions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure our schools meet educational standards.
